Dear Fellow Parishioners, We can come up with all sorts of excuses for not making a commitment to share our time, talent, and treasure; our gifts, skills, and talents with those around us. ·“No one asked me.” ·“They already have someone for that.” ·“They don’t need my help.” ·“I don’t have anything to offer.” ·“I am too busy and have no time to offer.” ·“What if I commit and then find I don’t have the time?” ·“I could have a change in my financial situation, what will I do if I have to change my pledge?” This is a list of excuses, not reasons for not making a commitment. We conduct our stewardship campaign every year because we need YOUR help. Our community depends on every member to share their time, talent, and treasure in order to continue to operate. So…every single one of us, not just a few are needed. YOU have something unique to offer. Everyone is busy, but if everyone pitches in, our community will not only continue to operate but will be more vibrant. Every registered household has been mailed a stewardship renewal packet. PLEASE READ IT! Decide how each person in your household can be engaged in a ministry and support our parish through prayer, service, and finances. Complete the commitment card enclosed in the packet or complete the packet online. If you have a change during the upcoming year that causes you to have to step back, reduce your giving, or any other change. That is OK. We understand that people enter these commitments with the best of intentions, and life changes in a moment. After you make your commitment, a ministry leader will be in touch with you to set up a time for training. We will work with your schedule because we know people have activities outside parish life. If everyone does just one thing, then the work of parish life does not rest on the shoulders of a few. Let’s all make a commitment to pool our time, treasure, and talents so we can revitalize our parish. No excuses, please! Fr. Bill
