Dear Fellow Parishioners, As I am reading my spiritual journals from 1992, I am amazed at the questions I was asking as a 40-year-old priest ordained for 15 years. Then, I am comparing them with the faith questions I have now, how I have grown over the years, and how I am very much still the same as I was 30 years ago. The questions become clearer with time. It is important to have an opportunity to ponder the questions with others so that our spiritual journeys become even better. The life questions we will be addressing during our Alpha pilot during this Lent may be some of the life questions you may have. • Is There More to Life Than This? • Who Is Jesus? • Why Did Jesus Die? • How Can We Have Faith? • Why and How Do I Pray? • Why and How Do I Read the Bible? • How Does God Guide Us? • Who is the Holy Spirit? • What Does the Holy Spirit Do? • How Can I Be Filled With the Holy Spirit? • How Can I Make the Most of the Rest of My Life? • How Can I Resist Evil? • Why and How Should I Tell Others? • Does God Heal Today? • What About the Church? If you are looking for a safe environment to share your faith and faith questions consider joining us as we pilot Alpha on Monday evenings at 6:30 with a meal, film, and discussion. You must let us know your desire to join us be Ash Wednesday February 14th. This weekend as we bring our “Reset” homily series to a close, we are going to “Reset” our relationship with our twin parish, St. Gerard’s in Haiti. I hope to familiarize you with St. Gerard’s so that we are all aware of their needs and invite you to support St. Gerard’s prayerfully and financially. Fr. Bill
