Dear Fellow Parishioners, We are a sacramental people and call upon the grace of God in who we are in all things as Catholics. Sometimes due to various circumstances in our lives we have not been ready to receive the sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation) or the vocation sacraments, especially Matrimony. Each year beginning in the fall we begin preparing adults for the Sacraments of Initiation. If for some reason you have not received any one or all of these Sacraments and want to, please call the office with contact information and we will give you the details so that you can receive these Sacraments at the Easter Vigil. Deacon Tom Tierney will be walking with you in preparation for these Sacraments. Anyone interested in becoming a Catholic will also be joining the journey.
I know that sometimes marriage relationships break down and there is hurt and anger that needs healing. Often, we misunderstand the Annulment process of our Catholic Faith. This is an opportunity to bring healing to that broken relationship and to move on to a better and healthier place and space. At anytime you would like to know more about the Annulment process, please feel free to talk with me. Sometimes Catholics are married in a civil ceremony and want to receive the Sacramental graces from the Sacrament of Matrimony. Again, if you and your spouse are interested in finding out more, please be in touch with me and I will be happy to assist you in the details.
How important it is to receive the graces from the sacraments as we journey through life. It is never too late. The support of a faith community is always a blessing in so very many ways. So take some time to look at your own faith journey and if you want to deepen your sacramental relationship with God, the Church and our community we are here to walk with you in spirit and in truth.
Fr. Bill P.S. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all of you who have increased your donations to assist the parish.
