It’s that time of year! Don’t you just love it? Spring is in the air. It seems like the leaves have popped out overnight and gone is the winter that would never end. During spring and early summer, it is like someone put their foot on the accelerator and there is so much to do, but so little time to do it! It is hard to believe that our summer Mass schedule begins next weekend. Masses are on Saturday at 4PM and Sunday at 9:30AM only!
Graduation is only a few weeks away – it doesn’t seem possible. It’s interesting that the graduation ceremony is referred to as a COMMENCEMENT ceremony. Commencement means beginning. So… graduation is NOT the end of something as much as it is the start of something…hopefully something new, exciting and fresh. On that note, next Sunday, May 27th at the 9:30 Mass we will be celebrating our graduating senior’s COMMENCEMENT! We will celebrate all their accomplishments to this point but also all the OPPORTUNITIES before them to become and accomplish something great.
On June 3rd, Fr. Bill will celebrate the 40th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. His 40 years of faithful service has been a generous gift to all the people whom he served in all of his assignments; the parish of St. Joan of Arc in Worcester, the parish of St. Mark in Sutton, the young people of the diocese of Worcester through the office of Youth Ministry and the many people of the diocese of Les Cayes, Haiti. For the past 16 years, we have been blessed to share our faith journey with Fr. Bill as our pastor and share in the joy of his priestly ministry.
God has a special place for each of us to serve. Fr. Bill chooses to be God’s hands, feet, and voice to express God’s love in the world. To thank him for his willingness to give of himself and be used where God has placed him, everyone is invited to celebrate Fr. Bill’s 40 years of service on Saturday, June 16thbeginning at the 4PM Mass, followed by hor d'oeuvres in the Fr. Reilly Center. There will also be a dinner at Willowbrook Restaurant at 7PM. Tickets will be available for dinner by contacting Gina Russell—

Spring is a time for celebrations! Congratulations to all our graduates! Congratulations and Thank You Fr. Bill!
