Dear Fellow Parishioners, We have a full four weeks of the Advent Season which gives us plenty of time to reflect on the comfort and joy in our own lives and being those same gifts to others during the Christmas Season. At the same time, with Christmas Day falling on a Saturday it makes for a scheduling challenge for the weekend Masses. I thank all of you who responded to our scheduling queries so that we could plan for the community as a whole. I am going to outline the Christmas/New Years Schedule and then make some recommendations so that we are all healthy and safe as we gather indoors during our continued pandemic.
Christmas Eve Masses: 4:00 P.M. with Children’s Choir 6:00 P.M. Candlelight Mass Christmas Day 9:30 A.M. Sunday December 26 9:30 A.M. Feast of the holy Family Note: there is NO 4:00 Vigil on Christmas Day
New Year’s Eve 6:00 P.M. Solemnity of Mary Note: There is no 9:30 A.M. Mass January 1/2 4:00 P.M. Epiphany 9:30 A.M. Epiphany
Since there are no requirements at this time for social distancing and masks, I am going to encourage all those who are high risk to please attend the 6:00 P.M. Christmas Eve Mass or the 9:30 Christmas Day. The 4:00 Mass will be attended by many children who are not eligible for vaccination. I want everyone to be safe and healthy as we gather as a community. On behalf of The Catholic Community of Sacred Heart I want to wish all of you a Wonderful Christmas Season and a wild and healthy New Year! Fr. Bill
