With the impending storm last weekend, it was so nice to see so many at the 4:00 P.M. Mass. We had 8 at the 8:30 and 13 at the 10:30 Mass and had nice intimate Masses in the Manella Day Chapel. When ever there is a weekend storm we will have Mass but I want people to be safe, so all those who are scheduled for ministry please just come on the best day and don’t worry about finding a replacement for ministry. When we gather during a stormy weekend we will do the best we can. If there is a state of emergency declared by our Governor, we will receive a cancellation message from the Diocese of Worcester and pass it on through e-mail and Facebook.
As you may know the Message Shapers prepare the readings in advance and we create a homily series that assists us in our efforts to be “life-long learners.” We should always be learning and growing our faith. Just as you would not settle on a third-grade knowledge of math, science or history, we should never settle for a third-grade, or confirmation level of faith understanding.
In an effort to make sure that you never miss a portion of a homily series you can always have access to each Mass available on our website. Mass each week is live streamed so that home bound and those in assisted living situations can follow along with Mass and then receive communion from our Ministers of Care. Rob Russell and the operations team has done an outstanding job in creating state of the art technology for our Catholic Community. We are the “church of what’s happening now!” In the meantime, I am trying to keep up!
