In the name of the Father,
and of the Son (+),
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
PENITENTIAL ACT
Brothers and sisters,
let us acknowledge our sins.
A brief pause for silence follows. Then all recite together the formula of general confession:
I confess to almighty God
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and in what I have failed to do,
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.
OPENING PRAYER
Almighty and eternal God,
who through the regenerating power of Baptism
have been pleased to confer on us heavenly life,
grant, we pray,
that those you render capable of immortality
by justifying them
may by your guidance
attain the fullness of glory.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL
That the Spirit of Jesus may continue to direct the expansion of the Church and inspire new vocations for her missionary efforts.
We pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
For those who are persecuted on account of their witness to the teachings of Christ, that they may find the courage to persevere.
We pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
For high school and college seniors whose lives have been disrupted that they might find new paths and new confidence that their lives will be fruitful
We pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
That the Lord, whose kindness endures forever, may show his faithfulness to all who are suffering.
We pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
That those who have died might soon be purified to come into the eternal presence of the Lord with joyful song.
We pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
LORD’S PRAYER
At the Savior’s command
and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER
Keep safe, O Lord, we pray,
those whom you have saved by your kindness, that, redeemed by the Passion of your Son, they may rejoice in his Resurrection.
Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
DIOCESAN PRAYER IN TIME OF PANDEMIC
O God,
whose Only Begotten Son
bore the weight of human suffering for our salvation,
hear the prayers of your Church
for our sick brothers and sisters
and deliver us from this time of trial.
Open our ears and our hearts to the voice of your Son:
Be not afraid, for I am with you always.
Bless all doctors and nurses, researchers and public servants;
give us the wisdom to do what is right
and the faith to endure this hour,
that we might gather once again to praise your name
in the heart of your Church,
delivered from all distress and confident in your mercy.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen
BLESSING
May Almighty God bless us,
the Father (+),
and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
