Thank you to all those who assisted in creating a pully system for the Advent wreath. We needed to have it high enough so that it does not block one of the live stream cameras. Of course, in making it higher we needed to make sure we could lower it to light it for Mass. The design was by Todd Miller, and Tony Claro was brave enough to climb the 30-foot ladder to put the system in place. Thank you to Bill Parent and all who helped hold the ladder in place while it was installed and did the behind-the-scenes work, Thank you!!!
Thank you to all who came forward to assemble the creche and to those who helped move furniture in the parish house so that the floors could be refinished. Many people help in so many ways; the Christmas Fair is one example. Thank you to Sharon and her crew for another successful fair!
The Stewardship reminder letter has been mailed to all households who have yet made a commitment. It’s not too late to make a commitment to the parish. I am inviting us all to participate in our various parish ministries. Here are our greatest needs: • Since covid, the number of people needing Stephen Ministry has increased. Are you a good listener? Please consider being trained for this valuable ministry. • We have many homebound people who watch the live stream Mass and need someone to bring them communion. The elderly especially would enjoy a visit from a young family who could be a Minister of Care. • We need Altar Servers - anyone who has made their First communion (including adults) is invited to this ministry. Training for the ministry will begin after the new year. • With the increase in utilities, we need to pool our financial resources to cover our ordinary expenses. Please make sure you make a commitment to our Offertory.
These are just some of the highlights of how you and your family can be an active part of the Catholic Community of Sacred Heart. So please pay attention to the letter when it arrives to your home. To all of you who have already made a commitment, thank you so very much! Fr. Bill
