Dear Fellow Parishioners, A sincere thank you to all who helped Joe clear the walks and the steps of the church on Sunday morning in time for us to celebrate the 9:30 Mass. We had many households watching the livestream and now I am hearing that there was a glitch in the broadcast. I want to encourage you to take the time to listen/watch the homily on the Sacraments of Healing, because in we are all hurting either in body, mind, or spirit; sometimes a combination of the three. Lent is just a month away with Ash Wednesday on March 2nd. How are you planning your journey for this Lent? I am inviting you to gain the skills of how we make God’s house a home on Tuesdays of Lent 7:00-8:00 P.M. on Zoom. The goal of our six-week journey is to help us as a community of faith to make caregiving for each other as a way of life. There will be a participant manual and a book entitled Reopening the Back Door. There will be no charge for the materials, but we need to know how many to order, so please sign up using this link. When someone has distanced themselves from the community, very often it means that something is happening in the person’s life or in the way we are fulfilling our function as a faith community. This course provides a rich mixture of Gospel teachings, allowing us to address this critical issue with care and love. So, I invite us all to sharpen our skills in these areas and make an impact not just in our faith community, but with our families and larger community. Someone mentioned there may be people who have no access to a computer or zoom. I am wondering how we could accommodate those folks? If this describes your situation, call the parish office and we will try to make arrangements for you to connect with someone else taking the course. Make your Lent 2022 a valuable experience by joining us each Tuesday for one hour. I guarantee it will be well worth the effort!
