How wonderful it was to have so much traffic and activity on our campus last weekend. Many people responded to Pam Chaplin’s call to come forward and help all week long and the day of the Yard Sale. It was wonderful to see the comradery and community building among all those who worked tirelessly throughout the day. A round of applause to Pam for leading this major project and a sincere thank you to all those who worked all month long and all day long. We made $850.00. This weekend was also the official kick off for a new season of Faith Formation. Throughout the summer Pam and Karen Daige solicited the input from many families so that we could respond to the needs of families in the sort of post covid world we live in. Through those dialogues we have expanded programing to include Saturday 4:00 Mass. It was wonderful to see so many young families at the 4:00 P.M. Mass, as well as so many at the 9:30 Mass. We are fortunate to have the technology in place and the creativity to make use of it as we enter into this new phase of Faith Formation. Any way that we can update our efforts in spreading our faith is truly appreciated. If you have ideas, don’t hold back. Let us know. Of course, to implement all that we have planned we need people to assist in various areas. Ideas and suggestions without people to implement them leads to discouragement. I cringe when I hear someone say, “You know what YOU should do…” On another note, remember a mistake is not a sin. Someone pointed out that the oldest Catholic University is Alma Mater Studiorum - Università in Bologna. So I googled The Jagiellonian University, it is the oldest university in Poland and the 13th oldest university in continuous operation in the world. It is regarded as Poland's most prestigious academic institution. Sorry I misinformed you, and I am still proud to be Polish!!!
