The case of the stolen doors is now official closed as far as the courts are concerned. This came to an end Monday 30 April 2018. The two people who took the doors are on probation for two years and are not allowed on our property. Two of the bronze doors are gone to China, and four are with the Hopedale police. We will see what condition they are in and move from there. Originally through Architectural Salvage the doors were worth about $3,000.00 each, or a total of about $18,000.00. However, what we will get for the four remaining doors will depend upon their condition. This is very disappointing. We do have an insurance claim, but it doesn’t look promising. I will keep you posted.
This is the season in the Church calendar when we celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation. First Communions are complete, and this past Friday, 26 members of our parish were confirmed by Bishop McManus at Sacred Heart Church in Milford. How happy we are for our candidates, their families and for our Catholic Community as we continue to confirm our commitment to “encourage all to follow Jesus Christ.”
There were 10 Konicki’s present at Italian Night as well as many other families. We see these events as a chance to get together as a family for a reasonable price, support the parish and enjoy a relaxing evening without the cost of an evening in a restaurant. The food is always great, the service wonderful, and an enjoyable evening for all. Consider joining our next parish event! Thank you to the Community Engagement Team for all their wonderful planning and preparation for a fun night.
Aren’t warranties a pain in the butt? Seems that when equipment just passes its warranty date it goes caput. That’s what happened with our projector. It was just a few months past the three year warranty when it died. I was surprised we have been using it over three years! In any case, it is out for repair and will be up and running as soon as we get it back. Please be patient. Good news is that we are not made with built in obsolescence!
Beginning this month, we will be accepting nominations for two youth and adult at-large positions on the Pastoral Planning Team. More information to come. Please prayerfully consider joining our parish leadership team.
I better stop there! Just want to keep you up to date on happenings in our community!
