Dear Parish Family, Our new homily series is called Amazing Grace. “Amazing Grace” is about the grace of Jesus that we experience in every stage of our lives. As we mentioned during the teaching Mass last weekend, just like the Magi were changed during their encounter with the Christ child, so are we changed during our encounter with Christ in the Sacraments. The grace of God lives in every nook and cranny of our lives and brings meaning to our homes, jobs, life’s challenges and joys, relationships, parenting, and ordinary days. The Sacraments serve to be physical reminders of Jesus’ immense love for us. Living a Sacramental life is not always easy. There are so many things to consider – what should I do, how should I act, how should I raise my kids? In general, living a Sacramental, holy life means following Jesus Christ’s teachings and example. This includes things like being honest, kind, and generous; respecting others regardless of their beliefs or lifestyle; and forgiving those who have hurt you. It also means having faith in God and trusting Him to guide you through life. Here are several practical tips to help live a sacramental life: *Pray regularly – talk to God daily. *Receive the Sacraments often and recall how God’s grace has blessed your life. *Attend Mass – journey through life with others *Use sacramentals – wear your faith on your person and on the walls of your home. Living a Sacramental life can be challenging, but it’s also rewarding and fulfilling. With God by your side, you can overcome any obstacle and grow closer to Him.
