Leader of Song
The Leader of Song serves the assembly by leading sacred songs, the responsorial psalm and Mass parts. Cantors must have a good singing voice and the willingness to sing in front of an assembly.
The “Sacred HeartBeats” are the contemporary praise and worship music group at Sacred Heart Hopedale, and use a mix of mainstream popular Christian music along with traditional arrangements to lead the congregation in song for worship. Our mission is to touch the hearts of all Mass participants, attract the lost, and build disciples through music that is engaging, contemporary and attractive, while leading people to a higher place of worship; ultimately hoping to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ. The Sacred HeartBeats also provide a contemporary music setting for other services and church events including the monthly healing service and the annual Seder Supper.
The group includes vocalists, acoustic guitars, electric guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and percussion, and performs music from a variety of current and contemporary artists such as Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Hillsong, Matt Maher, Matt Redman, The David Crowder Band and many others.
We strongly encourage anyone with vocal or musical talent who is interested in joining the group to speak with Ken Konicki or one of the other members anytime.

Do you play the piano, guitar, flute, oboe, clarinet, electric guitar, bass, trumpet, drums or any instrument that will make a joyful noise? If so, consider lending your talent to your parish. We’ll work around your schedule.
Those who would like to participate in the liturgical music ministry but can only do so on a limited basis are encouraged to join the Seasonal Choirs that sing at Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter. Instrumentalists are very welcomed!
The Sacred Heart Children’s Choir learns appropriate music for the liturgy, seasons of the church and fundamentals of singing during rehearsals in a fun and safe environment. Children in grades 1-6 are welcome to use their musical gifts to praise God.
